The Northwest Ottawa Recreation Authority (NORA) has once again asked for help from the Lakeshore Pickleball Club to introduce pickleball to students through their after-school programs. NORA has sent flyers out to all schools in northwest Ottawa County offering a four week pickleball clinic at the elementary, intermediate, middle and high school levels.

Please take a look at the schedule below and let me know if you would be able to help at any of these groups starting the week of April 16. All classes will meet for 4 weeks.

  • 2nd-4th grade Tuesdays April 16 – May 7 4:30- 5:30 2nd-4th graders will meet at Mulligan’s Hollow for an introduction to pickleball and activities that will develop skills necessary to play pickleball in a game situation.
  • 7th-12th grade Thursdays April 18-May 9 3:30-4:30pm 7th thru 12th graders will meet at the Mulligan’s Hollow for instruction and practice. The goal is to have the students participate in some round-robin competition on these days.
  • 5th and 6th grade Thursdays April 18 – May 9 4:30-5:30pm. 5th and 6th graders will meet at Mulligan’s Hollow for instruction and practice. The goal is for students to become familiar with the rules and be able to play in a game situation. If you would be able to help with any of these classes, please contact me at http://cs_rodgers@hotmail.com If your schedule doesn’t allow you to commit to every week, but you would still like to help, please let me know and we will make it work!

We need and appreciate volunteers!
