Important Dates:
June 22 is the deadline for submitting names for the open positions on the LPC Board of Directors. As stated in the May 22 club email, the offices of Vice President and Treasure, and 3 Members at Large positions need to be filled. Thank you to the many qualified members who have so far volunteered for these positions.
June 28 is the dedication ceremony for Schmidt Heritage Park located at 15582 Ferris Street in Grand Haven Township. LPC members are invited to attend the ceremony which will be held by the flagpole at 11:00am, after which the 12 new pickleball courts will be open for play. The courts are not finished at this time, and Grand Haven Township administrators ask that no one go on the courts until after the ceremony on the 28th.
June 30 is another Friday Night Pickleball and Burgers night! Start with pickleball at Mulligan’s Hollow at 5pm, and then walk to the American Legion for burgers and beverages. It’s best to get to the Legion by 6:30pm before they run out of burgers! Join us for fun, food, and friendship!
July 1 is the deadline for entering the 2023 US Coast Guard Age 50+ Mixed Doubles Pickleball Tournament. Go to our club website lakeshorepickleball.com and click the red “click to register” button for more tournament information and to register and pay online. You can also find how to register and pay by mail on that page, if you prefer. This tournament has a 50 team limit, so find a partner and enter today! Don’t miss out on this fun, competitive event!
Mulligan’s Hollow:
The City of Grand Haven is purchasing new nets for the permanent pickleball courts. They plan to replace three nets this month, and three nets in July.
Missing: Did anyone pick up a green Paddletek BantamXL Pro paddle at MH by mistake? Please see John Gabalis if you have any information about this missing paddle.
Missing: A black Aces paddle cover was left at the MH courts last week. Please see Pat Kerbuski if you know of its where-abouts.
