Schmidt Heritage Park:

NORA (Northwest Ottawa Recreation Authority) is offering evening ladder leagues this month at Schmidt Heritage Park in Grand Haven Township. There has been a great response for the Beginner and Intermediate ladders, but the Advanced ladder needs more players in order to start league play next week! Go to NORA to see the schedule and register. Tell your friends!

Mulligan’s Hollow:

Starting September 19, the NORA after-school pickleball classes will be meeting at Mulligan’s Hollow on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15-5:30 for four weeks. Courts 1, 2, and 3 will be used for these classes, but the other courts will still be available for open ( first come, first served) play. Thank you to LPC Board member Kristen Kosidowski for organizing the after-school classes. If you are interested in volunteering to help with these classes, please contact Kristen Kosidowski. The 2023 LPC Club Classic Members Tournament will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 16 and 17 at Mulligan’s Hollow. Over 100 LPC members are signed up to play in Men’s and Women’s Doubles on Saturday, and/or Mixed Doubles on Sunday! Good luck to all of our members who are competing. If you aren’t playing in the tournament, come and watch the excitement!

All 10 courts are reserved for the tournament from 8am to 2:00pm those days but will be available for Open Play after 2:00 pm.

The last Fun Friday Pickleball and American Legion event of the summer will take place on Friday, September 29. Meet at Mulligan’s Hollow at 5:00 for pickleball with your pickleball friends, and then walk to the Legion for burgers and beverages. Plan to arrive at the Legion by 6:30 that evening before they run out of burgers! Everyone is welcome! Hope to see you there!

Lost and Found:

PLEASE check out the lost and found items located in the shed at MH. There are many items, including shoes, water bottles, jackets, shirts, glasses and sunglasses, a hearing aid (yes, it’s still there!), etc. Unclaimed items will be donated to Good Will.
