Dear LPC Members,
Lakeshore Pickleball Club has a great opportunity to establish a Designated Fund within the Grand Haven Community Foundation that will benefit LPC. An anonymous donor family has offered to provide matching dollars to help establish this fund. For every dollar that LPC raises, the donors will provide matching funds up to $2500. If successful, the total of $5000 will establish the Designated Fund that LPC can use for future capital purchases as well as provide a means for members and the community to establish legacy giving through wills, trusts or ongoing donations. The dollars in the fund will be invested by the Grand Haven Community Foundation to provide positive returns for our money. Past returns on the money they invest have been in the 7-9% range. Please consider donating to this matching dollar fundraiser by visiting the LPC website or by clicking on the matching fund’s donation button listed at the bottom of this message. We will also have a donation poster at this weekend’s LPC Member Classic Tournament that will have a QR code that will take you directly to the donation area. LPC MEMBER CLASSIC
This weekend is the 11th Annual Lakeshore Pickleball Club Member Classic Tournament at Mulligan’s Hollow. We have 134 members participating in Men’s and Women’s Doubles on Saturday and Mixed Doubles on Sunday. Our first priority was to ensure that all members registered got to play. With some adjustments of brackets and times, we met that goal, and no one was turned away. We are now using www.pickleballbrackets.com for our tournaments. Anyone can access the website to see brackets and play. We will have brackets posted at Mulligan’s Hollow, but we will also be using QR codes posted throughout MH that players and guests can use to monitor the progress of play in real-time. We are looking forward to a great weekend of play and comradery. Please consider coming out to support your fellow members while they compete.
